Heavenwill Gauntlets build guide (T0, September 2026)
Gauntlets have sat at the top of the melee tier since June 2026, and the reason is a short, repeatable burst window rather than a long combo. This page covers the stack-to-four loop, the Inner Ways you cannot skip, and the stat sheet to aim for at level 100.

You picked up Heavenwill Gauntlets because everyone said it was the easy one — the beginner wheelchair, the spec that carries you. Then you hit level 100, walked into 论剑, and got flattened by a player running the exact same weapon.
The weapon was never the problem. Gauntlets do almost nothing on their own; they are a delivery system for one short, repeatable burst window. If your Inner Ways, stat spread and stack timing are even slightly off, that window never opens.
How does the Heaven's Will loop work?
Build Heaven's Will (天志) with fast, low-commitment hits, hold four stacks, then spend them on an empowered Vile Condemned: End for single-target burst. Repeat. The cheap engine is Falcon's Pursuit: you are not fishing for one big hit, you are stacking as often as possible.
Everything about the build — Inner Ways, affix priorities, stamina management — exists to make the cash-out happen more often and hurt more. That is also why the February 2026 nerf matters: the balance pass raised Dodge's stamina cost and made "bird out" break the combo, closing the door on the old habit of dodging out of bad positions to reset.
The lesson survived the patch: you cannot dodge your way into a stack window. A player who panic-dodges on every red tell spends the fight at two stacks and never sees a burst.
Where does the tier rating come from?
| Period | State | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-02 | Nerfed, out of T0 | Dodge stamina cost up; combo break on "bird out" |
| 2026-04 | Recovering | Community relearned the stamina-efficient rotation |
| 2026-06 | T0, stable | Burst window proven repeatable at level 100 |
| 2026-09 | T0 maintained | Widely recommended as the beginner-friendly top pick |
Treat the tier as history and the mechanics as the durable part. This spec has already moved from T0 to nerfed and back once; a tier list without a date is a rumor.
What stats do I aim for at level 100?
| Stat | Target | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Precision (精准) | 99%+ | Below this, stack generation gets unreliable |
| Crit (会心) | 78%+ | The burst is a crit payoff; this is the floor |
| Insight (会意) | Do not build it | Dilutes the crit investment on this spec |
| Set | 撼天套 | No official English set name has been published |
Two stat names, two characters. 会心 is the crit stat and is written here as Crit. 会意 belongs to the Mingjin - Insight (鸣金会意流) path and is written as Insight. If another guide uses different labels, check which Chinese character it maps before you copy anything.
Which affixes matter?
English names for these affixes have not been published, so the Chinese is kept beside each one:
- T0 — 劲 (Jin, the primary physical attribute)
- T0 — 最大外功 (max outer attack)
- T1 — 最小外属 (min outer attribute)
- T1 — 最小外功 (min outer attack)
Chase the two T0 lines first and treat 劲 as non-negotiable. The T1 lines are where you settle, not where you gamble.
What are the two Inner Way lists?
| Slot | 破竹鸢 (standard) | 钧体拳 variant |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Morale Chant (易水歌) | Soaring High (扶摇直上) |
| 2 | Soaring High (扶摇直上) — mandatory | Morale Chant (易水歌) |
| 3 | 三穷致知 (Mohist Hill shop; English name unresolved) | Invigorated Warrior (征人归) |
| 4 | Sky Gripped (擒天势) | 明晖同尘 (English name unresolved) |
Why does this build work?
- Soaring High is the spec. It raises heavy-attack output and converts crit into real damage — exactly the axis the four-stack finisher is built on. Our sources mark it a priority Tier 6 Inner Way; this is the one upgrade you do not defer.
- Sky Gripped adds a debuff on top of damage. Gauntlets already want to stand in melee, so a debuff that makes your next window hit harder costs you nothing in positioning.
- Morale Chant is the sustain layer. The burst window is short; without sustain under it you spend more time recovering than building.
- 钧体拳 is a real alternative, not a meme build. It trades the debuff for Invigorated Warrior's profile. Run the standard list first and switch only once you hit four stacks reliably.
三穷致知 and 明晖同尘 have no confirmed English names. They stay in Chinese on purpose: a wrong translation is worse than an honest placeholder, because it makes the build unsearchable and uncorrectable.
Pro tips
- Do not bank stacks you cannot spend. Sitting on four Heaven's Will while the boss is out of range is wasted uptime.
- Stop dodging with a full stamina bar and an empty stack bar. That is the exact behavior the February nerf targeted. Stand, Deflect, build.
- Buy 三穷致知 early. It comes from the Mohist Hill (墨山道) shop and is the cheapest hard upgrade in the list.
- Do not copy a Chinese graduation build wholesale. Stat spreads from other servers assume different content timing; the level 100 targets above are the anchor.
- Re-check the tier every patch. The stamp on this page is September 2026.
Frequently asked questions
Is Heavenwill Gauntlets really the best beginner weapon?
As of September 2026 it is the most commonly recommended T0 pick for new players, and the beginner-wheelchair label is earned. But easy to start and easy to master are different claims: stack-to-four is simple to describe and genuinely hard under pressure.
Why not build Insight (会意)?
Because the payoff is a crit-driven burst. Splitting investment into a second offensive stat dilutes the crit floor you need at 78%+. On the Dual Spears path Insight is correct — on Gauntlets it is a tax.
Can I run this build without 三穷致知?
You can, and it functions. You lose a slot's worth of output and the build feels one step behind. Since the item is bought rather than dropped, there is no reason to leave it off for long.
